WELLS, Robert Allen Robert Allen Wells, 57, of Kent, WA, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away suddenly at home in Kent, WA on Friday (March 18, 2005). He was born in Hartford on April 18, 1947, son of Arthur James Wells and Shirley Wolcott Wells of Bloomfield. Bob was a graduate of Loomis School, 1965, where he was a National Merit Scholar, and a graduate of Yale University, Class of 1969. After college, Bob served three years as a Peace Corps volunteer in India. Before retiring, he was a senior planner in the Aviation Planning Department at the Port Authority of Seattle, WA. He enjoyed camping, and hiking in the mountains of Washington State and was a member of the Lotus Racing Car Club. Besides his parents, he leaves his sister, Nancy Wells Wood and her husband Brian F. Wood of Portland, CT; his nephew, Jason R. Waicunas of Norfolk, VA; his aunts, Virginia Wells, Carol Wolcott and Elsie Nelson; and cousins, Wendy Wolcott, Samuel Wolcott, Royer Nelson and Deborah Kibbe. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 11 a.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Norris Teaching Fund at the Loomis Chaffee School, 4 Batchelder Rd., Windsor, CT 06095. A Memorial Service will also be held in Seattle, WA at a later date.
